Title:
Tea & Tequila website Fuzigish is by far the best band on this compilation - musically, lyrically, attitude wise and most importantly vocally. I guess the point isn't to compare the bands, but unfortunately the others don't really do much for me. Mao kind of has an interesting edge - song wise they're at least experimenting, which I like, but lyrically and vocally they lack potency. Ethel my Love come across as a bad Amersham - the one thing they've thought of is backing vocals as a way to stronger choruses, but they really need write better lyrics and try out other sounds and arrangements. Tripping Billy also need to do the same and more - the timing here is shocking - I can imagine the guitarist is very frustrated! Fuzigish have something that's happening although it definitely needs work - for instance the accent is so far up Clinton's arse it's enough to secure them green cards, not that we need a walk down that road argh. and while they can all play their instruments they could really move away from such predictable guitar sounds etc. But definitely worth your attention.
