I much prefer Sugardrive recorded. While they are probably the tightest band out on the live curcuit, I find the volume tends to make all the songs sound the same, mushing the vocals into one whine. Here the songs have their own identity - the tempo's are more accute, the grooves so very fine and the lyrics finally play their part. Some great lines, some good lines and some trying a little too hard. The programming also features in a choice way - understated, but adding great depth to the sound. They have also managed to create a great overall mood between songs in it's production. 'At Home', "I Love You, Discuss' and the single 'Disco Lazerus' are seriously out there. It's in the grooves.. a great album.
