adam lieber was born in south africa. he has studied sculpture and music with a focus on time-based media, installation, performance and sound. currently he lives in london creating music & dj'ing as 'ahem cough' and producing sound design. in south africa, he organised various cultural events and exhibitions including 'pickle', 'geto 3000', 'sluice' and 'gallery mau mau', as well as hosting "the art and sound" show on 104.5 FM. from 2001-2002 adam worked in the music department at fabrica Italy producing audio, sound design and music for video, web, live performances and installations. he played turntables with moodphase 5ive 1997-1999 followed by several other musical collaborations including 'the sticky' in 2001 with felix laband, the imelda marcos boys choir 2001, wide eyed in 2002 and has releases on upland music, african dope records and kraked records. exhibitions include; several solo shows in south africa, italy, & england and group shows on the johannesburg bienalle 1997/1998, the national gallery cape town, the castle of good hope and the national gallery durban, italian cultural institute london and salone del mobile milan 2001.
